Singer Eazzy has named Kuami Eugene and Patapaa as artistes she would not want to work with. Speaking on Behind The Fame on Joy FM, the ‘Wengeze’ hitmaker said her type of music differs from that of Patapaa and Kuami Eugene, hence they cannot blend. Eazzy explained Patapaa’s type of music is too fast for what she does and she cannot compete. “I love his personality. He is a very lively person, but music wise I no go fit. I know him as an up-tempo artiste, If you put me on any of his songs, I go do yawa,” she told Lexis Bill on Monday. Ghana’s veteran highlife artist Rex Omar has disclosed in an interview that he no longer attends church because he doesn’t want to be a “hypocrite and a sinner”. According to the ‘Dada Di Da’ hitmaker, he was an active member of Assemblies of God church but he stopped going to church since 1997. “I believe if I had continued to go to Church I would have been a hypocrite, a bad person and a sinner. Most people pretend to be good Christians but you later find out that you are even far better than them and this takes away your direct relationship with God”, he stated. Rapper Strongman has refuted claims by some fans of his former label boss Sarkodie that his “most good footballers turn to be bad coaches. don’t be deceived” tweet was a shade directed to the SarkCess Music boss. According to the Rapper, his tweet was to troll Manchester United and in no way was directed to his mentor Sarkodie Speaking in an interview on the Cosmopolitan Mix show on Joy FM, Thursday, he said manchester united has not been performing well recently as they are being coached by a former player of the club. “I am a Chelsea fan so obviously I would not expect Man U to go any level above us,” he stated. Over 600 Stanchart staff to go home in June

Over 600 workers of Standard Chartered Bank in Ghana are set to lose their jobs in June as the bank closes three branches. The branches to be closed down are located at Tudu, Westlands and Taifa in Accra. Starrfm.com.gh sources say the staff have now been informed of the decision after it was kept from them for a long while. The source further revealed that the branches are being closed because management has introduced a new technology that is capable of doing their jobs in the respective branches. Conversations are underway to duly compensate the affected staff. The development comes as the industry is yet to emerge from the crisis that saw the collapse of some banks culminating into the Consolidated Bank Of Ghana last year. Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in Showbiz as Sarkodie over the weekend paid an official visit to Kantanka Automobiles, producers of the Kantanka fleet of cars. Sarkodie had in the previous weeks lamented why the government was sleeping on home grown companies like Kantanka Automibiles. Ghana gets $20m plant to recycle waste into organic fertilizer, raw materials

Ghana’s waste management agenda has received a major boost with the installation of a state-of-the-art integrated recycling and compost plant in Accra to properly manage solid waste and create wealth out of it for the people. Described by waste management experts as the game-changer in the industry, the plant has come at a time that the country is struggling to effectively and efficiently manage solid waste which is engulfing our cities and towns. The plant utilizes modernised technology to recycle organic, plastic and other solid waste materials into compost and useable raw materials to feed the agricultural sector and industries respectively. With the daily capacity to process 200 metric tonnes of solid waste and 100 tonnes of organic fertilizer, the 20 million-dollar plant built by the waste management giant Zoomlion Ghana Limited, is the first of 16 similar plants to be constructed across Ghana.
