Manny Pacquiao graduates from the university with a degree in political science

International boxer-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Makati.

The Philippine national majored in Local Government Administration.

In February, the 40-year-old boxing champion and lawmaker revealed that he decided to pursue a college degree because he “needs” it to better understand the country’s situation.

In 2008, Pacquiao was enrolled in the business management program of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in General Santos City.

He passed a high school equivalency exam in February 2007 under the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System, which made him eligible for college education.

THE ban on celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages by Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has clearly affected a lot of celebrities and one aggrieved personality is comic actor Kwame Dzokoto who says it is the reason why he is no longer in the media. According to Kwame Dzokoto, who has advertised alcoholic beverages in the past and was the host of popular show, Edziban on TV3, the decision is biting hard but there is no one to speak for them. “I decided to leave the media since no one is speaking for us. Wakaso joins Chinese club Jiangsu Suning

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is on the verge of swapping the Spanish La Liga for the Chinese Super League (CSL) after agreeing personal terms with Jiangsu Suning. Wakaso, 29, was entering into the final year of his three-year deal with Deportivo Alaves, but he will now depart midway through the season after the two clubs reached an agreement. The deal is subject to the 29-year-old passing a medical. Deportivo Alavés in a statement expressed gratitude to Wakaso "for his professionalism and dedication during this time and wished him the best of luck". Ghana, United Kingdom pledge to strengthen ties of co-operation

Ghana and the United Kingdom have resolved to deepen the bilateral relations that exist between the two countries, as well as, explore areas of interest that will inure to the mutual benefit of the two countries and their respective populations.
