Cesc Fabregas gushes over Partey in Atletico Madrid’s loss to Barcelona

Ex-Barcelona midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, must have been happy with the Catalans’ 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid but his attention was also on Ghana’s Thomas Partey who was playing for the opponents.

The 26-year-old featured in the heart of Atletico Madrid’s midfield in their 1-0 loss to Catalan giants, Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.

Although Diego Simeone’s men lost the encounter courtesy a brilliant strike from Lionel Messi, Fabregas seem very enamoured with what he saw from Partey  The World Cup winner shared his thoughts via Twitter in the course of the game.

He shared a tweet that was translated into English as “Thomas (Partey) is very good.”


Thomas Partey who wears the number 5 jersey for Atletico Madrid has had an amazing start to the 2019/2020 season, cementing his starting role in Diego Simeone’s team.

The Ghanaian midfielder has registered two goals and an assist in all competitions this season.

Ghana signs deal to host Afro Nation for 5 years

Ghana has closed a deal with Event Horizon Entertainment Ltd organisers of the popular Afro Nation concert to host the show for five consecutive years. The deal was signed between the Tourism ministry and the entertainment House in the UK witnessed by President Akufo-Addo. Announcing the deal on Facebook, cousin to the President Gabby Otchere Darko wrote:” a major highlight of this maiden UK-Africa Summit is the 5-year Africa exclusive events deal for Ghana to host Afro Nation annually. THE ban on celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages by Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has clearly affected a lot of celebrities and one aggrieved personality is comic actor Kwame Dzokoto who says it is the reason why he is no longer in the media. Wakaso joins Chinese club Jiangsu Suning

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is on the verge of swapping the Spanish La Liga for the Chinese Super League (CSL) after agreeing personal terms with Jiangsu Suning. Wakaso, 29, was entering into the final year of his three-year deal with Deportivo Alaves, but he will now depart midway through the season after the two clubs reached an agreement.
