Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale finally get their ‘freedom’

Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been granted bail after spending almost 24 hours in police custody.

The two rivals spent Sunday night in separate rooms under guard.

Their ‘arrest’ followed a scuffle which ensued between the two artistes during the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the early hours of Sunday, May 19.

At the awards, Shatta Wale and his team tried to mount the stage while Stonebwoy was on for his award.

In an attempt to stop Shatta Wale’s entourage from getting through to Stonebwoy, a scuffle ensued which led to Stonebwoy pulling out a gun.

The two artistes were picked up by the Accra regional police command hours after the incident.
Meanwhile, father of Shatta Wale, Charles Nii Armah Mensah has confirmed to 3news.com that his son has been granted bail.

Ghana signs deal to host Afro Nation for 5 years

Ghana has closed a deal with Event Horizon Entertainment Ltd organisers of the popular Afro Nation concert to host the show for five consecutive years. The deal was signed between the Tourism ministry and the entertainment House in the UK witnessed by President Akufo-Addo. Announcing the deal on Facebook, cousin to the President Gabby Otchere Darko wrote:” a major highlight of this maiden UK-Africa Summit is the 5-year Africa exclusive events deal for Ghana to host Afro Nation annually. THE ban on celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages by Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has clearly affected a lot of celebrities and one aggrieved personality is comic actor Kwame Dzokoto who says it is the reason why he is no longer in the media. According to Kwame Dzokoto, who has advertised alcoholic beverages in the past and was the host of popular show, Edziban on TV3, the decision is biting hard but there is no one to speak for them. “I decided to leave the media since no one is speaking for us. Wakaso joins Chinese club Jiangsu Suning

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is on the verge of swapping the Spanish La Liga for the Chinese Super League (CSL) after agreeing personal terms with Jiangsu Suning. Wakaso, 29, was entering into the final year of his three-year deal with Deportivo Alaves, but he will now depart midway through the season after the two clubs reached an agreement. The deal is subject to the 29-year-old passing a medical. Ghana, United Kingdom pledge to strengthen ties of co-operation

Ghana and the United Kingdom have resolved to deepen the bilateral relations that exist between the two countries, as well as, explore areas of interest that will inure to the mutual benefit of the two countries and their respective populations.
