Hazard refutes Madrid contract rumour

Eden Hazard has wasted little time in shooting down reports that he signed a contract with Real Madrid.

Despite saying last week that his focus is on Belgium’s progress in the Euro 2020 qualifiers and Chelsea’s pursuit of a spot in the Champions League, rumours emerged during the weekend that he had agreed a deal with the Spanish club.

However, this was categorically dismissed by the Belgian.

‘There's nothing in the reports,’ said Hazard, as reported by Sky Sports.

‘I'm only focused on [Sunday’s] game against Cyprus. That's all I'm thinking about.’

Wakaso joins Chinese club Jiangsu Suning

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is on the verge of swapping the Spanish La Liga for the Chinese Super League (CSL) after agreeing personal terms with Jiangsu Suning. Wakaso, 29, was entering into the final year of his three-year deal with Deportivo Alaves, but he will now depart midway through the season after the two clubs reached an agreement. The deal is subject to the 29-year-old passing a medical. Deportivo Alavés in a statement expressed gratitude to Wakaso "for his professionalism and dedication during this time and wished him the best of luck". He will join compatriots Emmanuel Boateng and Frank Achiampong in the Chinese topflight.

THE ban on celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages by Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has clearly affected a lot of celebrities and one aggrieved personality is comic actor Kwame Dzokoto who says it is the reason why he is no longer in the media. Ghana and the United Kingdom have resolved to deepen the bilateral relations that exist between the two countries, as well as, explore areas of interest that will inure to the mutual benefit of the two countries and their respective populations.
